This program is geared towards everyone from accounting students to recent graduates to stay-at-home moms. This course focuses on providing you with accounting knowledge and accounting software skills that can be applied to a full accounting cycle. You will master software like QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and Microsoft Excel. You will also learn real-world accounting processes and have the opportunity to practice on real accounting cases.

Results:
After completing this course, students will know the thorough accounting theory and dealing with major accounting and office tasks through the computerized accounting software. The course will also let you know how to handle the real cases under real business environment. You will be confident to put the useful practical skills based on the Canadian experience on your resume for your pursuit of a junior accounting clerk or payroll administrator.

Accounting Principles (1)

This course helps you become familiar with common accounting concepts, including Chart of Accounts for an organization; Assets, Liabilities, Owner’s Equity, Revenue and Expenses; accounting double entry method when you are posting in the journal ledger for each transaction; the equation of the accounting principle; financial statements’ format.

Results:
After completing this course, students will know what is bookkeeping and its purpose. You will know how to handle the journal entry method. Also, you will know the ways how the accounting theory, applying to the real world. In addition, you will have some real case number to practice for mater the processes.


Accounting Principles (2) + Payroll

In the course, you will learn more detailed and number related processes for the financial reporting purpose, such as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculation, adjusting entry for capital assets depreciation, T slips preparation, profit/loss statement and balance sheet generation. In addition, you will learn how to handle payroll processes and all the related concepts.

Results:
After completing this essential level of this course, students will know accounting detailed tasks and processes for financial statements preparation purpose and also the payroll processes. With the job training following this course, you will be confident to handle the basic accounting tasks and payroll administrator role in the real business world.


Excel- Basics (Optional)

Excel is one of the most powerful tools in the accounting and bookkeeping world. This course will teach you the excel basics and help you become familiar with various functions and formulas including the following:

  • Create and Edit Charts
